Selecting Colors for Your Altar

Choosing the right colors is essential for your altar. Try different brands and shades to see what resonates with you. I'll provide a list of recommended paints to help you get started.

Above all: have fun with your materials. Remember, this is your creative space, so make it uniquely yours!

Decorating Your Altar

The extra fun part of creating your abundance altar—decorating it! This is where you can let your creativity shine and make the altar truly yours.

Choosing Colors and Themes

This is your altar, choose colors that resonate with you. If green or purple makes your heart sing, go for it! You're the artist and creator of abundance here, so let your imagination run wild.

Using Gold Paint and Glitter
2024 update> unless you've got biodegradable glitter: don't use it!!! because it's plastic and it kills the fishes and ocean.

For the outside, I used gold acrylic paint. Even after all these years, it's still 100% as fresh as in 2016. There are various shades to choose from, so pick a gold you love.

Personalizing with Meaningful Items

While decorating, consider adding items that hold personal significance to you. This could be anything from small trinkets to photos or symbols that represent abundance in your life.

Final Touches and Personalization

Welcome to the final stage of creating your abundance altar! This is where you get to add those personal touches that make it uniquely yours.

Adding Personal Messages and Decorations

One of the most meaningful ways to personalize your altar is by adding small messages. You can write down your requests and desires on little pieces of paper. These messages can be hung from a twig, creating a beautiful and personal display.

"All the small messages will be and requests and desires will hang from a twig."

Using Twigs and Other Natural Elements

Incorporating natural elements like twigs can add a rustic and organic feel to your altar. These elements not only enhance the aesthetic but also connect your altar to the natural world.

Ensuring Everything is Meaningful

Every item you add should hold significance. Whether it's a piece of gold foil paper glued to the back of your altar or a specific color of paint, make sure it resonates with your intentions.

"Everything should be meaningful."

Tools and Materials

  • Gold Paint: Add some sparkle or color.
  • Gold Foil Paper: Glue it to the back of your altar for a touch of elegance.
  • Glue and Scissors: Essential for assembling your altar.
  • Gel Medium (Optional): Delays drying and adds a glossy finish.

  • Thin paper: for your messages
  • String: for your wires
  • stick/ twig: to hold your messages

Maintaining Your Abundance Altar

Keeping your abundance altar fresh and inspiring is a delightful journey. Regular updates and changes are key to reflecting your personal growth and keeping the energy vibrant.

Regular Updates and Changes

Consider adding new elements like a piece of wrapping paper or something from your art supply store. Look for materials that catch your eye, like paper with glitters. These can be used to decorate your messages to the universe.

Reflecting on Personal Growth

Use watercolor to add a personal touch to your messages. These messages can be hung from a twig, creating a beautiful display of your desires and requests to the universe.

Keeping the Altar Inspiring

Everything on your altar should be meaningful. Whether it's a twig from nature, a pencil, or an old brush, choose items that speak to you. Ask them if they want to be part of your abundance altar. This connection makes your altar a true reflection of your journey.

Maybe there will be desires or long standing wishes you forgot about.

Be prepared for wonderful surprises.
